The two golden boys of the Asian Physics Olympiad, Bui Quang Tu and Ngo Phi Long, have again won gold medals in the international arena. On the morning of July 15, the Department of Testing and Quality Assurance (Ministry of Education and Training) announced that the Vietnamese national team of 5 students will compete in the 2013 International Physics Olympiad from July 5 to 15 in Denmark. All 5 students have won medals, including 2 gold medals, 1 silver medal and 2 bronze medals.
The winners of the two gold medals were Bui Quang Tu (grade 12, Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted) and Ngo Phi Long (grade 12, Son La High School for the Gifted). The student who won the silver medal was My Duy Hoang Long (grade 12, Lam Son High School for the Gifted, Thanh Hoa province).

Le Duy Anh (grade 12, Lam Son High School for the Gifted) and Tran Thi Thu Huong (grade 12, Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted, Nam Dinh Province) won bronze medals. The delegation will arrive at Noi Bai International Airport on the morning of July 16.
Earlier in May, the student delegation participating in the Asian Physics Olympiad in Indonesia achieved good results. All 8 students participating in the competition won prizes, including two gold medals and two silver medals. The two students who won gold medals were Bui Quang Tu (grade 12, Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted) and Ngo Phi Long (grade 12, Son La High School for the Gifted).
In 2012, all 5 Vietnamese students who participated in the International Physics Olympiad in Estonia (July 15-24) won medals. Among them were 2 gold medals, 1 silver medal and 2 bronze medals. The winners of the 2 gold medals were Ngo Phi Long and Dinh Ngoc Hai (grade 12, Bien Hoa High School for the Gifted, Ha Nam).
