On September 19, Vietnamese Ambassador to Venezuela Ngo Tien Dung presented the letter of credentials of President Truong Tan Sang to Venezuelan Vice President Elias Jaua.
Ambassador Ngo Tien Dung expressed his joy at the good development of the friendship and cooperation between the two countries in recent times, and thanked the Venezuelan people for supporting the just struggle for national independence in the past as well as Vietnam's current Doi Moi process.

The Ambassador respectfully conveyed the regards of President Truong Tan Sang to President Hugo Chavez; at the same time, he affirmed that the high-ranking leaders and people of Vietnam highly appreciated the socio-economic achievements of the Bolivarian Revolution and wished the Venezuelan people more success in the cause of building socialism according to their own characteristics; and hoped that President Hugo Chavez would soon have the opportunity to visit Vietnam again.
Ambassador Ngo Tien Dung affirmed that he will do his best to contribute to further promoting the comprehensive friendship and cooperation between the two countries in both breadth and depth, in accordance with the aspirations and interests of the people of the two countries.
Vice President Elias Jaua thanked the Vietnamese leaders and people for their warm sentiments and congratulations to the Venezuelan leaders and people; affirmed that Vietnam has always been a shining example of revolutionary heroism in the struggle for national independence and freedom as well as in the cause of Renovation and building socialism today.
Mr. Elias Jaua emphasized that the Government and people of Venezuela attach great importance to strengthening multifaceted relations with Vietnam and will create all conditions for Ambassador Ngo Tien Dung to excellently fulfill his duties, especially the strong and effective implementation of economic, energy, cultural projects, as well as other cooperation agreements that the two countries' senior leaders have unanimously approved./.
