According to a VNA reporter in Moscow, this document drafted by the Russian Foreign Ministry and the Russian Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) aims to create momentum for cooperation between the two countries on the basis of mutual benefit in potential fields such as satellite positioning, space telecommunications technology, remote Earth exploration, space biomedicine, etc.
The document also aims to create a legal and organizational framework for bilateral cooperation in the field of research and use of outer space for peaceful purposes. According to the agreement, funding for joint activities will be carried out by both sides in accordance with the laws of the two countries.
Meanwhile, the specific financial responsibilities of the joint operations are determined through additional documents.
If ratified, the agreement will boost production activities of organizations and enterprises in the Russian rocket and space industry, helping them get more orders.
The above bill will be discussed at a meeting of the Russian Government./.
