Vietnam rejects US report on human trafficking
The Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs today (July 29) said that the US State Department's report on the human trafficking situation in the world is not objective, and affirmed that the government has taken specific and resolute measures to fight and prevent this social evil.
"The 2015 report of the US State Department on the situation of human trafficking in the world has made subjective comments and does not reflect Vietnam's great efforts in fighting and preventing human trafficking crimes in recent times," Deputy Spokesperson of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pham Thu Hang said today.

Ms. Pham Thu Hang's statement was in response to a reporter's question about Vietnam's reaction to the 2015 US State Department report on the situation of human trafficking in the world.
"I would like to affirm that the Vietnamese government is very concerned and has taken specific measures and sanctions to resolutely fight and prevent human trafficking. It has passed the Law on Prevention of Human Trafficking and the National Action Program on Prevention and Control of Human Trafficking for the period 2011 - 2015. These efforts of Vietnam have been recognized by many countries and organizations, including the United States," the Deputy Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized.
