Based on the current brand color of the airline, which is the characteristic blue color and the image of a golden lotus, the exterior of the new aircraft is stylized with a yellow curve, an increased size of the lotus logo, and a light cream color on the belly. This is part of the overall program to renew the airline's brand identity system, which is expected to be officially implemented when Vietnam Airlines receives the new aircraft.
Vietnam Airlines' new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft is equipped with 180-degree reclining Business Class seats, larger windows and luggage compartments, LED lighting systems, higher cabin humidity while the pressure difference in the cabin is reduced...
In addition, the airline will also test to develop a new in-flight wifi service this time.
The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner is the latest version of Boeing's fuel-efficient Boeing 787 aircraft. The Boeing 787-9 can fly further and carry more passengers and cargo than previous versions. At the same time, new manufacturing technology has been applied to help this new aircraft bring higher efficiency to operators by saving 20% fuel and reducing 20% of emissions into the environment compared to equivalent aircraft.
The Boeing 787 will be the first of four Boeing 787s to be delivered this year, according to plans announced at the airline’s first shareholder meeting in March. It will be joined by three more Airbus 350s.
In 2015, Vietnam Airlines will be the first airline in the Asia-Pacific region to simultaneously operate two new generation modern aircraft, the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner and the Airbus A350-900 XWB.
