Vietnam attends global young scientists conference
The third annual Global Young Scientists Conference (GYSS) was held in the "Lion Island" from January 19-23, with the participation of about 300 young researchers from around the world.

In addition, Vietnam also has three female scientists participating in GYSS this year.
Talking to reporters, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hoai, lecturer at the International University of Ho Chi Minh City National University, hopes that through GYSS, she can learn more, especially have the opportunity to exchange with many other young scientists in the world to create connections, thereby building a network in the process of applied research in the future.
Ms. Nguyen Minh Huong, a researcher at the Institute of Biotechnology, also commented that with the advantage of being a multidisciplinary conference, GYSS is an opportunity for delegates to learn about each other's research fields, thereby exploring future cooperation opportunities.
One of the goals of GYSS is to provide a forum for participants to present their research ideas and solutions to address the many challenges facing major cities around the world today.
Nine projects were selected from 55 proposals to present on the final day of GYSS and the young scientist with the best research project will be awarded a prize worth 100,000 USD.
In addition to the discussion sessions, delegates were also invited to visit some of Singapore’s universities, research institutes and public agencies to learn more about how science and technology solutions have been promoted to address national challenges in Singapore in recent times, thereby gaining more inspiration to continue pursuing their scientific research dreams.
