Vietnam remains an important investment destination for European businesses.

EuroCham Chairwoman Nicola Connolly said the European business community has more than 750 member enterprises and more than 150,000 employees in Vietnam.

EuroCham assessed that the Vietnamese Government has achieved positive results over the past 10 years in curbing inflation; increasing business expansion in Vietnam; and realizing the need for higher education and training standards to improve the labor market.

Ms. Connolly also said that the results of the quarterly EuroCham Business Climate Index survey showed that Vietnam remains an important investment destination in ASEAN and that confidence in doing business in Vietnam has improved in the last quarter. She also emphasized the need for continued efforts from the Vietnamese Government to create a level playing field and encourage more foreign investment in Vietnam.
