Vietinbank gives 100 Tet gifts to resettled people in Thanh Chuong district

Ngoc Lam and Thanh Son communes (Thanh Chuong) are mainly ethnic minorities resettled by the Ban Ve hydropower project. Although they have only been back to their hometown for 6 years, the lives of the people here are still facing many difficulties, the poverty rate is at 90%. In Thanh Son commune, the delegation gave 50 gifts to 50 households in especially difficult circumstances. Each gift included cooking oil, fish sauce, candy, MSG and 300,000 VND in cash. In Ngoc Lam commune, the delegation also gave 50 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND.
People receive Tet gifts
All of the money and gifts were sponsored by Viettinbank Vietnam and this is an activity within the Tet for the poor program launched and implemented by the People's Police newspaper for the past 10 years. By giving gifts to poor households, the delegation hopes that people will overcome difficulties and have a warm Tet, so that they can continue to stay attached to their new homeland and join hands to protect the border area./.
