A 22-year-old Korean passenger on a VNA flight from Germany to Hanoi showed signs of difficulty breathing and poor health, so the plane had to land in Romania for emergency treatment.

On September 30, Vietnam Airlines (VNA) announced that flight VN36 on September 29 from Frankfurt (Germany) to Hanoi landed in Romania to provide emergency care to passengers.

Specifically, flight VN36 took off at 5:08 p.m. (local time) from Frankfurt airport. About 2 hours later, passenger Choi Y (22 years old, Korean nationality) sitting at seat number 33B was found to have signs of difficulty breathing.

The crew immediately called for the help of volunteer doctors on board to perform first aid measures.

After initial examination and care, the passenger's health showed no signs of improvement. The flight captain decided to request an emergency landing at Henri Coanda Airport (Bucharest, Romania).

The flight crew coordinated with airport authorities to take the passenger to the nearest hospital and also cleared the passenger's two pieces of luggage.

The passenger's health has improved and he is currently in Romania for further monitoring. The flight then took off at 0:59 (local time) on September 30, and is scheduled to land in Hanoi at 14:10 the same day, 8 hours behind schedule.
