Coach Vicente del Bosque said he will invite two Barca players, Carles Puyol and David Villa, to Poland and Ukraine to join the defending champions.

José María Claramunt – General Director of the Spanish Football Federation called Villa and Puyol to invite them to Poland. Accordingly, Mr. Del Bosque wants the two Barca members to be part of the team during the EURO 2012. Besides encouraging their spirit, the pair will still receive treatment for their injuries according to the schedule.

Specifically, Villa will go to Poland as a tourist and become a commentator for the TV station Mediaset. However, Villa will stay as a player of the Spanish national team. The same is the case with Puyol. Currently, both are being treated for injuries in Sevilla and will join Las Rozas next Friday. It is worth mentioning that Villa will become a colleague of Casillas during the EURO 2012.

As is known, before the final list to be sent to UEFA, coach Del Bosque called Villa directly to ask about the injury situation. However, due to not recovering from the injury, the Barca striker could not be present at this EURO. Meanwhile, Puyol did not have a good feeling after the knee surgery suffered in the King's Cup final against Bilbao.

With their new assignments, both Puyol and Villa believe they will be able to convey the hottest information about the Spanish national team to their home fans as well as inspire their teammates in the campaign to defend the European championship.
