VINAMILK joins hands to share difficulties with people in the Central region

Since the end of September, the Central region has been continuously affected by storms, floods, flash floods, and landslides, affecting production and people's lives, especially those in remote areas, mountainous areas, and children, who are most affected by natural disasters. When natural disasters and storms occur for a long time and over a large area, the shortage of necessities, food, and clean water has directly affected thousands of families in the Central region.

With the desire to promptly support people and children in localities heavily affected by natural disasters, through the Fatherland Front and local Departments of Education and Training, Vinamilk has transferred to 3 provinces: Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam and Da Nang more than 155 thousand product units, worth more than 1 billion VND.

Specifically, Vinamilk will deliver these products directly to people in Hoa Vang, Cam Le, Hai Chau, Son Tra, and Ngu Hanh Son districts in Da Nang; students and children in three particularly disadvantaged districts such as Phu Ninh, Bac Tra My, and Tien Phuoc in Quang Nam and Phu Vang and Quang Dien districts in Thua Thien Hue.

Vinamilk's nutritional products, mainly 100% sterilized fresh milk, Vinamilk ADM nutritional milk, Hero fruit drinks and bottled water products will help people, especially children, to be assured of nutritional food, physical support and resistance so that children can go to school with peace of mind and people can restore their lives and livelihoods after the flood.

Receiving the supported products, Mr. Nguyen Phi Hung - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Nam province acknowledged the companionship of Vinamilk with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province in supporting people facing difficulties due to natural disasters.“Caring for children in disadvantaged areas due to natural disasters is a meaningful, necessary and timely activity, and providing nutrition helps ensure their physical health so that they can return to school and continue studying. Hopefully, in the future, Vinamilk will continue to accompany the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Nam province in particular and localities across the country in general in social security work.”

Throughout its development, Vinamilk has always focused on community programs and activities, joining hands with organizations to contribute to bringing Vietnamese people a better and more sustainable life. When the Covid-19 pandemic broke out, Vinamilk contributed more than 100 billion VND including cash, nutritional products, medical equipment and many other supports to join hands with people across the country to fight the epidemic.
