Vinamilk establishes representative office in the Kingdom of Thailand

Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (Vinamilk - stock code VNM) has just announced a resolution of the Board of Directors approving the establishment of the company's representative office in the Kingdom of Thailand.

According to the decision dated November 11, Vinamilk's Board of Directors approved the establishment of Vinamilk's representative office in the Kingdom of Thailand.

Ms. Mai Kieu Lien - General Director of Vinamilk - is assigned to implement and carry out the necessary procedures to establish a representative office in accordance with the laws of Vietnam and Thailand, including but not limited to deciding on the organizational structure, appointing personnel and operating regulations of the Representative Office.

The establishment of Vinamilk's representative office in Thailand is part of a series of Vinamilk's efforts to develop foreign markets.

Vinamilk's business report by geographical area shows that domestic net revenue in the first 9 months of 2016 increased by 20% compared to the same period to VND28,690 billion and after-tax profit reached VND11,741 billion, up 25%. Meanwhile, the foreign market brought Vinamilk nearly VND6,300 billion in net revenue, up 7.43% compared to the same period but the profit reached VND3,056 billion, up 27% compared to the same period. The foreign market is increasingly contributing significantly to Vinamilk's business results.

Developing foreign markets is one of Vinamilk's important strategic tasks in recent times and in the coming years.
