If you are constipated, these toxins are reabsorbed, causing chronic poisoning, so the elderly should limit meat, increase fish, beans, fiber, and prevent constipation; Decreased calcium absorption is at risk of osteoporosis, the elderly need to increase calcium, milk, vitamin D, etc.

According to Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Hong, the elderly need to pay attention to the following nutritional principles: “Avoid overeating, especially when having cardiovascular disease; cook soft foods and pay attention to eating soup; create menus for meals, change dishes every day; meals must ensure adequate starch to provide energy, protein, fat, green vegetables and ripe fruits; regarding drinking water, just drink boiled water or tea, limit beer and alcohol; ensure food hygiene”.
