Vmotion 2.0, Nissan's prototype car returns from the future
At the 2017 Detroit Auto Show, Nissan previewed its future with the Vmotion 2.0 concept, which features a new design language.
Nissan has just officially introduced the Vmotion 2.0 concept, a model that represents the future of sedans from the Japanese car company, somewhat similar to the Maxima, the first sedan to use the Vmotion 1.0 design language. It is likely that the next generation of Maxima and other sedans in the Nissan family will also have a new design on the concept. It is very likely that the new generation Altima will be the first sedan to use this new design language.
Nissan Vmotion 2.0 has a bold design like a supercar. |
The biggest common point between the two design generations is the V-shaped grille but larger in size, slim LED headlights that give a sportier feel with angular air vents and sharp lines on the hood and sides of the car. The rear of the car impresses with V-shaped LED taillights and a unique rear bumper. The overall design of the car has a strong futuristic style but like many other concepts, it also has many details that are difficult to apply in reality, especially in the interior.
In the cabin, everything is minimalist, from the function keys to the seats. The most prominent is the minimalist dashboard and steering wheel, the instrument cluster behind the steering wheel and the center console almost blend into one through the large display screen. The center section between the two rows of seats is also neatly designed from front to back, the car frame is also thinner and more airy with a glass ceiling. In addition to leather upholstery, the car is also covered with high-quality wood.

Unfortunately, these details are unlikely to become a reality on the commercial version, especially when it is developed based on the concept model of a mid-range sedan. The Nissan brand is also not a luxury car that can be widely equipped with modern infotainment systems or high-class wood panels. Vmotion 2.0 will really be suitable in the more distant future where self-driving cars become popular.
