Synchronously and effectively deploy measures to combat IUU fishing

This is the requirement and content emphasized at the conference on implementing solutions to combat illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing (IUU) in the northern coastal provinces and cities organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment in Nghe An.

Resolutely implement measures against illegal fishing

That was the request made by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha at an online meeting of the National Steering Committee on Combating Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated Fishing (IUU) with coastal provinces and cities on the afternoon of October 25.
Over 80% of Nghe An's '3 no' fishing boats have been re-registered and re-licensed.

According to the Nghe An Department of Fisheries and Fisheries Surveillance, after 3 months of focused review and supervision, by October 10, 2024, the whole province had 493/615 "3 no" fishing vessels supplementing paperwork and procedures for re-registration and re-licensing.
