VN-Argentina promote scientific and technological cooperation

The Argentine Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation said that during his recent visit to Vietnam, Minister Lino Barañao signed a memorandum of understanding on scientific and technological cooperation between the two ministries with the Vietnamese Minister of Science and Technology, Nguyen Quan.

During the meeting, the two ministers agreed to promote cooperation in the fields of biotechnology, information technology, renewable energy and biodiversity. During the visit, the Argentine National Council for Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET) and the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology also signed a framework agreement on cooperation between the two research institutions.

In the field of science and technology, the Government of Vietnam and the Government of Argentina signed the Agreement on Science and Technology Cooperation in 1997 and the Agreement on Cooperation in the Use of Nuclear Energy for Peaceful Purposes in 2001./.
