Previously, at around 4:15 p.m. on April 22, when Mr. Tran Cong Dinh, owner of Dinh Loi gold shop, was standing alone at the gold shop, a young man riding an Exciter motorbike, wearing a raincoat, stopped by to make a transaction.

According to Mr. Dinh, this person asked to see some gold samples as a wedding gift, so he was shown two 24k gold bracelets weighing 6 chi and a pair of earrings.

This subject used an iPhone to take pictures and asked for the wifi password, saying that he was sending the pictures to his mother to ask for her opinion. Next, the subject asked Mr. Dinh how much these items weighed and demanded the full amount of 25 million VND.

Taking advantage of the moment when Mr. Dinh turned his back to weigh the earrings, the subject took the two gold bracelets and quickly got on a motorbike and fled along National Highway 49A, from Thuan An to Hue City.

After the incident, Thuan An town police were present to investigate and clarify the case.
