With 239 cases, dengue fever epidemic in Nghe An is complicated

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of August 25, Nghe An Department of Health organized a training course on disease surveillance, prevention, treatment, diagnosis and treatment of dengue fever for trainees who are officers in charge of infectious disease control departments of units throughout the province.

Since the beginning of 2017, the country has had more than 85,000 cases of Dengue fever (DF), including 27 deaths. Nghe An alone has had 239 cases, no deaths; the disease is currently evolving complicatedly and has a tendency to increase in the number of cases. Especially since the beginning of July, the number of cases has increased rapidly, with the disease appearing in 13 districts, cities and towns in the province.

To strengthen the prevention of dengue fever in the whole province, at the training class, trainees were imparted knowledge: Dengue fever; characteristics of mosquitoes transmitting dengue fever; symptoms of the disease; concept of dengue fever outbreaks; instructions on monitoring and preventing dengue fever; instructions on diagnosing and treating dengue fever; and communication activities...
