VPF places high expectations on the Ethics Advisory Board
On the afternoon of February 21, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF) held a ceremony to launch its brand identity and Ethics Advisory Board.
The VFP Ethics Advisory Board has 7 members, with journalist Nguyen Cong Khe, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Thanh Nien Media Group as Head of the Board; football expert Nguyen Van Vinh as Permanent Deputy Head of the Board; expert Tran Van Mui as Deputy Head of the Board; and members including journalists Vu Quang Huy (VTC), Nguyen Tho Trung (Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper), Phan Dang (Cong An Nhan Dan Newspaper) and Tran Quang Tuyen (Thanh Nien Newspaper).

According to Mr. Vo Quoc Thang, Chairman of the VPF Board of Directors, the Ethics Advisory Board has the task of monitoring and detecting violations of ethical standards in football and proposing disciplinary measures to build a clean, healthy, high-quality professional football with advanced organizational technology to serve Vietnamese football fans.
According to the regulations, the Ethics Advisory Board will operate independently with self-funded funds. In particular, the two leading activities will be to coordinate the prevention and control of negativity by advising the VPF Board of Directors and the tournament organizing committee on sensitive matches, incidents related to the ethics of the tournament members that may arise during the competition, focusing on monitoring and handling information through each match, each round to have a relatively complete assessment of unsportsmanlike manifestations, and proposing solutions to incidents to the Disciplinary Board.
The second activity is to score the ethics of the clubs in the tournament in the most accurate way through each round and will be announced monthly so that the clubs have a direction to strive and adjust. At the end of the round, the total ranked ethics score of the clubs will be the basis for VPF and the tournament organizing committee to determine the level of financial support.
Mr. Nguyen Cong Khe, Head of VPF Ethics Advisory Board, said: The purpose of the Ethics Advisory Board is not only to propose disciplinary measures but more importantly, to advise on measures to limit negativity in order to build a clean and attractive football foundation.
Immediately after its establishment, the Ethics Advisory Board completed the construction of regulations and specific tasks to be able to start the new 2013 season./.
