Specifically, on March 22 and 23, VTV6 channel broadcast the joint program "Asia's Got Talent" without the consent of the authorities.

This behavior of Vietnam Television is regulated in Clause 5, Article 17 of Decree No. 159/ND-CP dated November 12, 2013 of the Government regulating administrative sanctions in press and publishing activities.

For this error, Vietnam Television was fined 50 million VND.

Previously, the Ministry of Information and Communications issued a document to temporarily suspend the licensing of VTV's joint programs with a number of partners to rectify and strengthen the control of the content of joint programs (including the program Vietnam Idol).

Then, on April 2, VTV issued an official dispatch committing to rectify the activities and organization of joint programs, so the Ministry of Information and Communications agreed to let VTV broadcast the program Vietnam Idol./
