VTV stops broadcasting Top Secret Mission
Cat Tien Sa - the program's production unit - has just received information about temporarily stopping broadcasting and is waiting for further resolution from VTV.
On the afternoon of May 4, VTV decided to temporarily stop broadcasting the reality TV show Top Secret Mission after an error occurred regarding geographical information in the first episode (broadcast at 8:00 p.m. on May 2).
Accordingly, in the trailer introducing the content and rules of the game show, there is a section showing a graphic image of the flight route from Bangkok to Hanoi. Many viewers discovered an error in the graphic. The production unit said that this graphic image was provided by AirAsia.
Immediately after the incident, VTV established a Disciplinary Council to review and take strict action against a Deputy Director of Entertainment Program Production and individuals assigned to the task but made mistakes.
VTV also decided to temporarily stop broadcasting Top Secret Mission to promptly make adjustments. VTV will review each production step of the program and require units to strictly implement the production and broadcasting process as set out.

On the same day, AirAsia sent a letter to the press with the content of accepting responsibility: "Due to carelessness in the file review process, the unfortunate incident happened. After the program aired episode 1, the audience discovered that in the graphic frame of Air Asia's flight route, the location of the capital Hanoi was different from the reality.
We accept responsibility for this serious error and will immediately correct the image to reflect the geographical reality."

Top Secret Mission is the Vietnamese version of the Dutch show Sabotage. The new game show features 12 Vietnamese artists including Vinh Thuy, Phuong Mai, Nathan Lee, David Pham, Lam Chi Khanh, Harry Lu, Hong Que, Huynh Anh, Cuong Seven, Lily Nguyen, Kha Ngan and MLee.
After nearly two months of filming in Thailand, when hearing the news that the show had to temporarily stop broadcasting due to an error in giving the wrong location of the capital, contestants such as Nathan Lee, Huynh Anh... could not hide their sadness and disappointment.
