VTV joins Nghe An province in successfully implementing Resolution 26 of the Politburo

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 10, a delegation from Vietnam Television had a working session with the People's Committee of Nghe An province to evaluate the results of 1 year of implementing the Cooperation Program for the period 2015 - 2020. The two sides organized the signing of a cooperation program,contributing to the successful implementation of Resolution 26 of the Politburo to build Nghe An into the center of the North Central region.

Attending the meeting were comrades: Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Le Quang Huy - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; representatives of relevant departments, branches and sectors.

Over the past year, Nghe An province and Vietnam Television have coordinated many activities to propagate, promote and introduce the history - culture; potential and advantages of socio-economic development; leadership and management activities; socio-economic achievements, national defense, security and Party and government building of Nghe An province on VTV.

VTV has sent a group of resident reporters to Nghe An to coordinate, report accurate news, and orient public opinion in a timely manner. At the same time, it creates conditions for Nghe An Radio and Television Station to develop on par with the region; helping to better promote the image, people, and homeland of Nghe An to the whole country and the world.

On the side of Nghe An province, it has created better conditions for VTV to organize large-scale activities in the area with quality and safety; provided documents, invited VTV reporters to attend events in the province. In 2015, there were 108 news, 85 reports broadcast on VTV1, VTV 24, 68 ethnic magazine programs in Thai language on VTV5,... The coverage of VTV and NTV programs via satellite was well promoted.

Comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee hopes that the two sides will focus on investment and cooperation in human resource training and investment in developing technical facilities to better serve the propaganda work between Vietnam Television and Nghe An province, the provincial Radio and Television Station.

At the meeting, the two sides also discussed a number of solutions to improve the effectiveness of cooperation in various fields, specifically: upgrading equipment, training human resources, coordinating the organization of major events, improving the quality of ethnic language programs; promoting coordination in propaganda and orientation for complex issues and hot events in Nghe An, etc. to do a good job of orienting public opinion and propagating the policies and guidelines of the Party and State.

In addition, the two sides will proactively coordinate to research and submit to the Government an investment plan to expand the coverage of Vietnam Television programs in remote, border, and ethnic minority areas in Western Nghe An.

The meeting agreed on the contents of coordination from now until 2020: The two sides continue to proactively coordinate in propagating and promoting all aspects of Nghe An, contributing to the implementation of Resolution No. 26-NQ/TW dated July 30, 2013 of the Politburo on the direction and tasks of developing Nghe An province until 2020; supporting the necessary conditions to serve the propaganda tasks and the signed contents and conditions for VTV to open a permanent office in Vinh City.

Comrade Tran Binh Minh - Member of the Party Central Committee, General Director of Vietnam Television hopes that Vietnam Television and Nghe An Radio and Television Station will strengthen coordination in propagating and promoting official information to serve the work of orienting public opinion.

Vietnam Television will prioritize supporting Nghe An Radio and Television Station with some equipment from ethnic minority language target programs; quickly convert signal transmission from SD to HD standards and bring NTV's signals to the VTVgo system,...

Concluding the meeting, Comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh affirmed that he would create maximum conditions for the two sides to cooperate effectively; hoping that Vietnam Television and Nghe An province, Nghe An Radio and Television Station would continue to coordinate, have specific and practical plans to effectively propagate the potential and advantages of the land, people as well as the socio-economic conditions of Nghe An, contributing to the successful implementation of Resolution 26 of the Politburo. Assigning relevant departments, branches, sectors and units to actively contribute, build and effectively implement the signed contents.
