"The Russian Defense Ministry also has other convincing data on the September 17 disaster, which substantiate the documents presented at this press conference," Konashenkov said.
In addition, Mr. Konashenkov also said that the Russian side also used documents provided by Israel during the press conference. He said: "The updated details of the Il-20 disaster and the actions of the Israeli Air Force on September 17, which were announced at this press conference, are based on airspace control data from various radars in Syria."
Earlier the same day, the Russian Defense Ministry held a press conference to announce details related to the Il-20 reconnaissance aircraft shot down by the Syrian air defense system over the Mediterranean Sea on the night of September 17, killing 15 Russian soldiers.
