Bomb blast in Thailand: Vietnamese victim's health has stabilized
In the recent horrific bombing, a Vietnamese victim was thrown 2-3 meters away by the bomb. Fortunately, his health is now stable.
VOV's Bangkok bureau was the first to search for and provide the first information about the Vietnamese victim injured in the bombing on the evening of August 17 in Bangkok.

This afternoon, the Thai side as well as the Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand met with the victim and provided necessary support.
The Vietnamese victim is Mai Van Truong, born in 1990, from Thanh Hoa, with passport number B8759xxx, currently being treated at Klang Hospital, Bangkok Noi-Bangkok district.
Speaking to a VOV reporter based in Bangkok, Mr. Truong said that the bomb exploded and threw him about 2 to 3 meters away. However, because he was standing relatively far from the epicenter of the explosion, he was not directly injured by the explosion.
Thai doctors said that Truong’s health condition is stable. Last night, the hospital performed surgery on his left heel due to a crushed heel bone. The hospital is examining the victim’s eyes and may have to perform surgery tonight if necessary.

Through a group of about 5-6 friends who visited Mr. Truong at the hospital this afternoon, we learned that Mr. Truong's family has heard the news and will go to Thailand tomorrow.
After learning that victim Mai Van Truong was being treated at Klang Hospital, this afternoon, representatives of the Vietnamese Embassy visited to encourage and carry out citizen protection work.
Mr. Tran Manh Hung, First Secretary of the Vietnamese Citizen Protection Department, said that the Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand will provide the highest support and maintain regular contact with Thai authorities in protecting the citizen rights of victim Nguyen Van Truong.
On behalf of the Embassy, Mr. Tran Manh Hung visited, encouraged and gave support money to victim Truong right at Klang Hospital.
Also this afternoon, Ms. Watchari from the Tourist Support Center - Ministry of Tourism and Sports visited patient Mai Van Truong and conducted initial procedures to obtain personal data. Speaking to VOV reporters, Ms. Watchari said that Thailand will fully support the medical expenses of victim Mai Van Truong./.
