Scaffolding collapse: Victim's body brought back to hometown Dien Chau

(Baonghean.vn) - Present at the family of victim Lam Huu Chinh (1978), residing in hamlet 7, Dien Thanh commune, Dien Chau, Nghe An, witnessed the grief of the family, wife and children of the victim when his body was brought home.

Mr. Lam Huu Chinh, was one of 13 victims who died in the scaffolding collapse at the Formosa Ha Tinh construction site. Upon receiving the news of Mr. Chinh's death, his wife, children, and relatives were extremely saddened.

Lam Huu Chinh's body was brought to his family's new home on the morning of March 26.

Mr. Lam Huu Chien (1981), Mr. Chinh's younger brother, confided: "On the evening of March 25, Mr. Chinh's colleague called the family to inform them that Mr. Chinh had died in the scaffolding collapse.

As soon as he received the news of Mr. Chinh's death, Mr. Chien and his relatives immediately took a bus to Ha Tinh.

It is known that Mr. Lam Huu Chinh's family is taking care of his 75-year-old mother, his wife - Ms. Kieu (born in 1979), currently he and Ms. Kieu have 2 young children, the first child is currently in 1st grade, the second child is only 3 years old.

Mr. Chinh has worked for 2 years at the Formosa Ha Tinh construction site, earning about 10 million VND per month. He sends that money back to his wife to take care of his elderly mother and young children.

Lam Huu Chinh's family also added: "Currently, the company that caused the incident has provided immediate support to the victims' families with 30 million VND. The families will arrange for themselves the procedures for vehicles, burials, etc."

Currently, the victim Chinh's family is completing burial procedures according to local customs.
