Comedy King Stephen Chow starts filming "Journey to the West: The Second Love Story"
Comedy king Stephen Chow and filmmaker Tsui Hark, the two most famous directors in the Hong Kong (China) film industry, started filming the second part of Journey to the West: The Extraordinary Love Story 2 on August 6.

According to multiple sources, Journey to the West 2 will be produced by Stephen Chow and directed by Tsui Hark. The film is being produced with a budget of 400 million yuan (US$63.8 million) and will be released in 2017.
There are also rumors that in this episode, Yao Chen, Wu Fan and Lin Gengxin will replace the actors from part 1, including Shu Qi, Huang Bo and Wen Zhang. However, the parties involved in the production have not revealed any information about this film project.
The film Journey to the West: The Love Story was directed by Stephen Chow and released in 2013. To date, the film has grossed more than 1.2 billion yuan (US$203.5 million) in the mainland market alone and is one of the highest-grossing Chinese films.
