Cua Lo in the 2011 tourist season is attractive not only for its spacious facilities, friendly and welcoming people, but also for its rich and diverse services. And the most impressive thing for every tourist is attending the opening ceremony of the Cua Lo River Festival.

Binh Minh Square tonight is more beautiful, more sparkling, because of the many colorful lights along the beach, on the park lit up. Out there the sea seems to calm down waiting for the important moment: The opening program of Cua Lo beach tourism 2011 is broadcast live on NTV. The guests, delegates, tourists, and people have gathered in large numbers with bright, happy faces.

Returning to the coastal town of Cua Lo, we rejoice in the bustling joy, with the warm feelings of the people of the sea, as someone has described - “Returning to the coastal town today. The sky of Nghe An is bustling. Listening to the sound of the waves lapping. The sea whispers to the open sea. Returning to our hometown coastal town. Binh Minh Street is wide open. My dear, do you remember? Cua Lo is full of dreams…”

After the opening speech of Mr. Le Minh Thong - Provincial Party Committee member, Deputy Secretary of the Town Party Committee, Chairman of the Town People's Committee reviewing the rich history and traditional culture, the milestone marking the birth and development of Cua Lo tourism, was the opening drum beat of the festival by Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province - Mr. Ho Duc Phoc.

As soon as the drum beat ended, the stage lights lit up, the music with a heroic sound, clear melody, strong and modern rhythm based on the material of river songs rang out. The opening of the art program "Cua Lo Sea Rendezvous" was a 45-minute singing and dancing performance with songs about Cua Lo, Nghe An, and the beloved homeland of Uncle Ho performed by the Art Troupe of Military Region 4. Through songs such as "Song from Cua Lo", "Call of Cua Lo", "Homeland of that day" ... revived spiritual cultural activities, fishing festival and introduced the potential of Cua Lo sea tourism.

At 10 pm, Cua Lo beach town is still very bustling, because after the end of the art program, a colorful and magical fireworks display is shot up on the sea.

This year, in response to the "Sea and Island Tourism Paradise" launched by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Cua Lo River Festival 2011 will have many activities before, during and after the festival. The preparation work has been deployed by the Town since the beginning of January 2011. From the afternoon of April 25, a number of activities took place, opening a series of other important activities, such as: Mass art festival for workers, civil servants, students between 12 units, schools, and agencies in the Town; ceremony to receive the Certificate of ranking the historical and cultural relic of Song Ngu Pagoda on Ngu Island; Town-wide tennis tournament, folk games of tug of war, cockfighting, chess, etc.

This year’s traditional boat race on the sea has 9 participating teams (7 teams from 7 wards and communes and 2 teams from Nghi Loc and Vinh City) held at 7:30 am on May 1st. This year’s race is divided into 3 races, selecting 3 teams to the final round. Along the Binh Minh beach, there is excitement and enthusiasm when the racers start.

Tourists were all excited to watch the race. Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh, a tourist from Giang Vo - Ba Dinh - Hanoi, said: "It's so much fun. I've never witnessed such a fun boat race before. I think Cua Lo needs to further exploit such unique activities. It will certainly attract more domestic and foreign tourists."
