Performance by Vietnamese children in Laos on Mid-Autumn Festival night |
On behalf of the children of the Vietnamese community in Laos, Phonesavanh told about the meaning and traditional Vietnamese values of the Mid-Autumn Festival, which is taking place simultaneously with the children of the whole country.
Coming to the festival, the children learned more about the beauty of the culture of love and compassion. They received moon cakes from the Vietnamese expatriates to share the situation with the poor. They danced and sang traditional songs about the Mid-Autumn Festival, the full moon and Uncle Cuoi; sang about beloved Uncle Ho, about the homeland of Vietnam, interspersed with Lao folk songs and Lam Vong dance.
Nguyen Du Bilingual School is always the place where traditional activities and entertainment take place for children of the Vietnamese community living in the capital of Vientiane, Laos. These useful activities aim to educate generations of Vietnam and Laos to always preserve and protect the special relationship between Vietnam and Laos as generations of leaders and people of the two countries have worked hard to build and preserve.
