"Happy Mid-Autumn Festival with poor children" in Tuong Duong district
(Baonghean.vn) -On the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival 2013, on the evening of September 17, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and the People's Committee of Tuong Duong district coordinated to organize the province's Mid-Autumn Festival with the theme "Happy Mid-Autumn Festival with poor children" in 2013 at the district's Ethnic Boarding Secondary School.
Joining the Mid-Autumn Festival with the children of Tuong Duong district were comrade Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Department of Education and Training, Provincial Ethnic Minorities Committee, Provincial Youth Union, Nghe An Journalists Association, Provincial Children's Fund. On the district side, there were comrade Luong Thanh Hai, Member of the Provincial Party Committee - Secretary of the District Party Committee, leaders of the District People's Committee, and district-level departments. On the sponsor side, there were representatives of Prudential Life Insurance Company Limited in Nghe An, Bac A Bank, TH Group. In addition, there were more than 200 students and teachers of Hoa Binh Town Primary and Secondary School; Thach Giam Primary School, and Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities in Tuong Duong district.

The theme of this year's program is aimed at poor children and children in remote areas in the spirit of Official Dispatch 5900 dated August 22, 2013 of the Provincial People's Committee "Creating equal development opportunities for poor children and ethnic minority children". Thereby, it aims to propagate, raise awareness and responsibility of Party committees at all levels, authorities, mass organizations, each family and community for the work of protecting and caring for children; especially paying attention to children living in poor families and ethnic minority children. Promote the whole society to build a safe and healthy living environment for children, create favorable conditions for all children to participate in cultural, spiritual, recreational activities appropriate to their age, and encourage them to strive to excel in their studies and training.
Comrade Le Xuan Dai, on behalf of the provincial leaders, presented Mid-Autumn gifts to the children.
The program took place in a joyful and warm atmosphere. The children watched lion dances, scenes about the legend of the Mid-Autumn night and many special performances such as the scene "Uncle Cuoi plays with the moon", singing and dancing "Fairy moon"... During this festival night, the children also listened to the 2013 Mid-Autumn Festival greeting letter from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to the children of the Youth Union. The letter expressed love and affection to the children who have studied hard, practiced, played healthily, united, loved, helped each other, were filial to their grandparents and parents, and respected their teachers. In particular, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee was also very happy because among them were "... Children facing difficult circumstances who have the will and determination to strive to rise up, achieving excellent results in studying and practicing, becoming shining examples of overcoming difficulties for many friends of the same age to follow...".

On this occasion, TH Group and Bac A Bank sponsored 30 scholarships (VND 1 million/scholarship), and through the Provincial Children's Support Fund, Bac A Bank and TH Milk Group supported Nghe An children with VND 200 million to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival for children in the province; Prudential Insurance Company donated 20 bicycles (VND 1 million/bike, and the Provincial Children's Support Fund donated 10 wheelchairs (VND 1.5 million/bike). In addition, the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union also awarded 6 scholarships to poor students who overcame difficulties to study well for children in the district.
