This morning in Hanoi, the second press conference took place after the conclusion of the Northern Regional Preliminary Round (October 19). The Organizing Committee also announced the new crown version, which was confirmed to set a Vietnamese record.

The Miss Vietnam 2014 crown was designed and crafted over a period of 3 months by National artisan Ho Thanh Tuan and a group of 20 artisans selected from the Royal Pearl Company's crafting team. This crown has been recorded in the Vietnam Guinness Book of Records as "The crown with the largest bronze drum pearl and the most natural pearls".

The highlight is the rare 15mm golden bronze drum pearl placed at the center of the crown, which is considered the convergence point of the quintessence of heaven and earth because it is surrounded by 18 natural golden pearls. The 18 pearls are attached to the top of the patterns like sparkling dew drops on a lotus bud, absorbing the vitality of heaven and earth, ready to show off their colors, spread their fragrance, and glorify the pure beauty. The crown also has 36 Akoya sea pearls and nearly 1,000 diamonds and 270g of white gold. The total value of the crown is 2.5 billion VND.

Artisan Ho Thanh Tuan said that this crown is the collective's passion and creative effort. He and his colleagues put a lot of thought into designing this work of art, so although the value of the crown has been temporarily assessed, to the author it is a priceless work.
