A new beginning for post-Brexit France-UK relations

French President Emmanuel Macron begins a three-day state visit to the UK today, at the invitation of King Charles III. This is the first visit by an EU head of state to the UK since the country left the European Union (Brexit).

He worries about the unpredictability from the US and the threat from Russia.

“Russia is strengthening its adversary position to a degree that perhaps we could not have fully anticipated,” UK Defence Adviser Fiona Hill stressed in an interview with the Guardian UK.
Vietnamese Prime Minister departs for working trip to Europe

Early morning of June 5, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife, along with a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, left Hanoi to begin a working trip to three European countries, including the Republic of France, the Republic of Estonia and the Kingdom of Sweden.
