Mr. Nguyen Trung Thinh was born in Ha Nam, joined the army in 1972 and returned to his hometown in 1989 after being demobilized. He then left his hometown to Nghe An to start a family and make a living in Tan Dan village, Bong Khe commune. Starting from scratch, combined with the will of a soldier who is not afraid of hardship, he and his wife were determined to get rich on a land with many difficulties. With nearly 1 hectare of forest garden at first, he planted fruit trees and raised livestock. Initially, the farm's revenue was very small, only taking labor as profit. When the epidemic season came, chickens and pigs died en masse, the weather was dry and the trees did not have enough water, so there were many crops where the entire orange and grapefruit gardens that had begun to bloom were lost. But thanks to his patient and persistent nature, not giving up in the face of difficulties, he "saved little by little to make a big" to have the initial capital. Just like that, thanks to his experience, eagerness to learn, and understanding of the market, he boldly invested more in livestock and poultry in the direction of goods. Every year, he invested in raising frogs and selling 1-2 million young ones, 30 wild boars, and nearly 200 pigeons. Besides, he invested in planting 100 dragon fruit trees and fruit trees with high economic value such as grapefruit, oranges, Thai jackfruit... now his income each year is from 50-60 million VND.

With the will of self-reliance, self-strengthening, and the spirit of overcoming difficulties of Uncle Ho's soldiers, veteran Nguyen Trung Thinh has overcome difficulties to rise up, taking the lead in shifting the structure of crops and livestock; applying scientific and technical advances to develop farm economy, improving family economic life.

Not only is he good at business, he is also always enthusiastic in participating in the movement to build infrastructure in the village, as well as social activities launched by the Veterans Association and the locality. For many consecutive years, his family has always maintained the title of Cultural Family. He himself has been awarded many certificates of merit in the economic development movement of the district and province. In particular, he always considers helping and showing mutual love to the people as important. In the branch meetings, he always encourages and helps his brothers to overcome difficulties and do well in business. For those who need capital to open a farm, he lends capital to support farming techniques; whoever needs him to examine chickens, pigs and pigeons, he wholeheartedly goes to the place to spread his experience. Mr. Tran Dinh Nhan, Vice Chairman of the Association of War Veterans in Con Cuong district, said: "The Association of War Veterans in Con Cuong district always focuses on the issue of members helping each other to eliminate hunger, reduce poverty, and build economic models, thanks to which we have achieved many results. Especially the model of War Veteran Nguyen Trung Thinh, he is always a shining example for the people of Tan Dan village and the War Veterans in Bong Khe commune."

With the determination of a soldier, Mr. Nguyen Trung Thinh did not fear difficulties and rose to become a well-off household in the commune. Not only did he enrich himself and his family, he also contributed significantly to building his homeland to become increasingly rich and civilized.
