Crossing the forest, setting up border markers between Vietnam and Laos
(Baonghean) -The plan to increase the density and restore border markers on the 419km Vietnam-Laos border section through Nghe An province is currently racing against time to complete on schedule. As of September 2012, two border marker planting teams from Nghe An province, in coordination with border marker planting teams from neighboring Lao provinces, have surveyed 107/116 border marker locations and completed the construction of 90/116 border markers through Nghe An province.
During the deployment, we marched with the marker planting teams and witnessed the hardships of the marker planting team members. However, they were all aware of their responsibilities. Below are some images captured by Nghe An Newspaper's correspondents...
