The Winter Coat Club was established in July 2016. Huoi May is the Club's 10th support destination this year. Previously, the Club organized gift-giving activities to support people and students in the highland villages of Nghe An and people affected by natural disasters and floods in the two provinces of Ha Tinh and Quang Binh.

The club donated solar-powered lesson planning lamps to teachers in Huoi May.

Huoi May village is located on steep terrain, rugged mountains and forests, almost isolated from other residential areas. The village has 37 households and 178 people, mainly Khmu ethnic people. This area currently has many "no"s: no roads, no electricity grid, no medical station, no phone signal and no production fields. People mainly live by clearing land for farming and relying on support policies from the State and local authorities.
