'Washington is not afraid to fight to the last Ukrainian'
(Baonghean.vn) - Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev condemned the US military industrial complex for being flooded with weapons orders, so Washington is not afraid to fight to the last Ukrainian.
"American companies are making money, the American military-industrial complex is developing, it is flooded with orders. Accordingly, they are interested in maintaining this war, in that the flame of this war burns for a long time. Their soldiers do not die. And the war to the last Ukrainian does not scare them at all," Medvedev commented.

“The United States will certainly try to provoke conflicts in many other places,” the Russian politician asserted. He recalled that the entire history of the United States, at least over the past two centuries, is associated with the constant involvement of the United States in various conflicts to achieve its own goals. “They pursue quite pragmatic goals: a war, an ongoing armed conflict, people are dying, the Americans are making money because they can change the direction of economic development in Europe. Their companies are making money on the supply of both goods and weapons. They are happily spending billions of dollars that Biden is withdrawing from Congress when there are some weak debates going on but the money is still pouring in. That is hundreds of billions of dollars,” Medvedev criticized.
In addition, Mr. Medvedev said that Russia's opponents in the West are pushing the world towards World War III, ignoring signals from Moscow.
"Frankly, it would certainly be better if they heard (the signals). In any case, the world is not facing the threat of World War III. In fact, this is the time when our opponents are actively pushing people," he said, commenting on the idea that Russia's tough response to Georgia's aggression in 2008 should have been a strong signal to the United States and its NATO allies about the need to listen to Moscow's concerns.
However, “they did not hear our signals,” Medvedev stressed.
Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova asserted that the European countries' plans to deploy F-16 fighter jets and Mi-24B helicopters to Kiev demonstrate their growing involvement in the conflict around Ukraine. Ms. Zakharova stated that the goals of Russia's special military operation, including the demilitarization and de-Nazification of Ukraine as well as the elimination of threats to Russia's security, remain satisfactory./.
