Talking to us, comrade Vi Van Chin, Chairman of Chau Thon Commune People's Committee said: In economic development, in addition to taking advantage of applying, receiving and implementing investment and support programs and projects such as 135/CP, 30a/CP, from the beginning of the year, the commune has organized the allocation of targets to each hamlet, village, department and branch.

Thanks to that, many economic models have been successfully built and implemented, such as: Japonnica rice model in 6 villages: Mo village, Pieu village, Din Danh, Na Lan, Na Puc, Poi village, with a yield of 66 quintals/ha, compared to other purebred rice varieties, which is 15 - 20 quintals/ha higher. Along with that, the peanut growing model in Na Tong, Lam and Co Ngu villages has a yield of 18 quintals/ha, reaching 100% of the plan, with a total output of 9 tons, reaching 125% of the yearly plan; the shiitake mushroom growing model in Co Ngu village; the kohlrabi and cabbage growing model in Na Tong village...

Regarding resource management, the commune has prepared dossiers to issue additional land use right certificates in 4 villages with a total of 269 dossiers. Regularly develop plans, coordinate with relevant sectors to organize inspections and handle cases of illegal mineral exploitation. In the cultural and social fields, there have been many positive changes in both breadth and depth. The movement to build a cultural life in residential areas has been vibrant; by the end of 2014, 662 cultural families had been assessed, reaching 102% of the plan, an increase of 369 families compared to 2013; 1 cultural village was assessed; the number of households moving livestock barns off the floor was 713, an increase of 51 compared to 2013; the number of households using clean water was 721, an increase of 226 compared to 2013.

People's living standards have gradually improved. The poverty rate in 2014 was 406 households, accounting for 48.68% (a decrease of 26 households compared to 2013). The quality of education has been increasingly improved, schools have maintained a stable number of students, and completed universal primary education at the right age. Medical work and health care for the people have always been focused on. Visits, gift giving, and provision of benefits to priority subjects have been organized correctly, fully, and promptly...

The implementation of household registration and management is ensured in accordance with the provisions of law; the Judicial Department coordinates with departments, branches and organizations to organize and disseminate legal education and dissemination every quarter for cadres and people in villages and hamlets in the commune. Receiving and resolving complaints and denunciations in accordance with the procedures of the Law on Complaints and Denunciations; administrative reform, especially in the field of administrative procedure settlement, is focused on. In 2014, the situation of security and order and social safety in the area continued to be maintained, the number of cases tended to decrease compared to the same period (in 2013 there were 15 cases; in 2014 there were 9 cases) and were completely resolved. During the year, the first round of military recruitment was well implemented and organized, at the beginning of the year, 4 young men were sent to join the army, ensuring the quality targets assigned by superiors; Implement the first phase of the militia training program to ensure safety of people and weapons and equipment, achieving the title of good training unit; coordinate with the District Military Command to open a national defense and security knowledge training class for subject 4 in the commune.

With the above results, Chau Thon commune is honored to receive the Emulation Flag awarded by the Provincial People's Committee.
