The output of fishing, aquaculture and freshwater fish is estimated at 2,681 tons in 2015; Revenue value 21.1 billion VND, increased 6.4 billion VND compared to 2010. The economic structure of industry - construction accounts for 37.4%, service - trade 44.8%. The average annual economic growth rate is 9.2%, reaching the congress target. The average income value per capita in 2015 is expected to reach 28 million VND; increased 1.9 times compared to 2010.

The private economic sectors continue to develop in many industries, with bustling trade. Hon Cau tourist area currently has over 40 motels, attracting over 2,000 tourists to swim and relax every year. The project to build a system of Dien Hai coastal tourist roads, once completed, will open up a new direction for the development of the marine tourism industry, attracting more and more tourists. Currently, there are 2 investors registered to build modern hotels worth hundreds of billions of VND in Dien Hai. If synchronous investment in infrastructure is made, Dien Hai coastal tourist area will attract and retain guests, creating jobs for hundreds of workers and increasing local revenue.

Along with economic development, the cultural and social fields, the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" is promoted. The rate of cultural families is expected to reach 86% in 2015, 100% of villages maintain the title of Cultural Village; the commune has standard cultural and information institutions. The quality of key and comprehensive education is improved; the rate of students passing graduation exams at all levels, passing university and college entrance exams, the number of excellent students at all levels each year is higher than the previous year. Primary, kindergarten and secondary schools all meet national standards. Facilities and equipment for teaching and learning are enhanced, especially information technology. Every year, there are 95 excellent students in the district, 88 students pass the entrance exams to universities and colleges; especially in the recent "Scientific and technical innovation competition for secondary schools", Dien Hai commune won the second prize in the region and the third prize nationwide. The scholarship funds of clans, organizations, and associations have tens of millions of dong... The work of taking care of people's health, population - family planning, protecting and taking care of the health of mothers and children has made much progress. Social policies, poverty reduction and ensuring social security have also been well implemented.

The Commune Party Committee always pays attention to political and ideological education for cadres and Party members, considering this a top priority in Party building work, associated with the implementation of "Studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh". The commune's cadres and civil servants have actively changed their working style, gradually overcoming the inconvenience in handling administrative procedures, creating trust among the people. National defense and security have been strengthened, politics and society have been stable, and social order and safety have been ensured. Self-managed residential groups have excellently fulfilled their tasks, maintained political security and social order and safety, and focused on directing the elimination of hot spots of social evils in the area. The commune Party Committee continues to take care of Party building, government building, building the Fatherland Front and strong socio-political organizations. Dien Hai strives for specific targets: Economic growth rate (average for the whole period) reaching 9 - 9.5%. Economic structure: agriculture - forestry - fishery 30%; services 40%; industry and construction 30%. Food output in paddy equivalent reaches 5,000 tons; increasing the coefficient of land use to 3.5 times, rice 2.3 times. Build a 35-hectare Hon Cau beach tourist area, calling on organizations and individuals inside and outside the commune to invest in building hotels and motels to develop tourism; strive to increase annual budget revenue by 15-17%; 3 schools maintain national standards (kindergartens and primary schools meet national standards at level 2); have synchronous cultural and sports facilities; the rate of cultural families reaches 95%, 100% of hamlets achieve cultural titles; the rate of poor households is below 5% according to new standards. Complete the construction of new rural areas. Strive for 90% of Party cells to achieve clean and strong status; 100% of Party members are qualified and complete their tasks or better, the Party Committee continuously achieves clean and strong status for 5 years, develops 10-12 Party members annually...
