(Baonghean) - Dien Ngoc commune used to be known as a commune with a small land area and a large population, with economic difficulties when the main occupation was fishing, but it depended on the weather, prices of materials, gasoline, and labor. The above difficulties significantly affected the production and economic development of the commune, so the issue of job creation for workers was of special concern to the Party Committee and the government of Dien Ngoc.

The Party has issued specialized resolutions, the government has correct policies and appropriate mechanisms to encourage business owners to develop the economy, expand production, and at the same time create conditions for households to access capital sources from banks to develop a diversified economy in many industries, create jobs, establish many small-scale industrial production complexes such as: repairing and building new boats, seafood processing, civil and high-end woodwork, saws, stone machines, welding, aluminum and glass... building infrastructure to serve the people's economy.

During the term, the commune's annual economic growth rate reached 15.5%; average income per capita increased from 14.5 million VND/year in 2010 to 24.4 million VND/year in 2014; the rate of poor households decreased from 16.7% in 2010 to 5% in 2014. Seafood output in 2010 reached 11,500 tons, worth 117 billion VND; by 2014, the output was 13,200 tons (an increase of 1,700 tons), worth 244 billion VND (an increase of 117 billion VND). Dien Ngoc has a small area of ​​agricultural land, but thanks to the conversion of crop structure, land consolidation, and plot exchange according to Directive 08 of the Provincial Party Committee, the Cooperative has done well in irrigation, creating conditions for intensive farming to increase productivity and crop value.

One of the tasks that Dien Ngoc Party Committee focused on leading was investing in infrastructure construction to serve people's lives. During the past term, the construction sector made a leap forward, achieving and exceeding the targets set by the resolution; the total construction value reached over 133.2 billion VND, an increase of 106.2 billion VND compared to 2010... The cultural and social sector had many positive changes. The movement "All people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas" was promoted and expanded. The commune has completed the goal of universalizing all 3 levels of education, for many years all 4 schools have been recognized as advanced schools and cultural units at the district level. Primary health care for the people has been cared for and focused on, the medical station has met the National standards level 2. Regarding the implementation of national defense and security work, the commune has been awarded certificates of merit, certificates of merit and the title of Determined to Win Unit for many consecutive years by the district and province.

The Party Committee always pays attention to leading ideological work; Party development work is emphasized. During the term, 50 new Party members were admitted, bringing the total number of Party members in the entire Party Committee to 407 comrades. The number of Party cells achieving clean and strong status is maintained, with no weak or incompetent Party cells. The direction of building a plan for the cadre team during the term is to provide basic training. The activities of political and social organizations and unions are effective, contributing to the building and consolidation of a strong political system.

The above results were achieved thanks to the Party Committee and people of Dien Ngoc commune promoting the tradition of their heroic homeland. In the process of leadership and direction, the Party Executive Committee has proposed specialized resolutions, maintained the principle of collective leadership and individual responsibility, innovated the thinking of directing and leading economic development; the economy is closely linked to the implementation of social security goals; implemented democracy and transparency, and received the consensus and support of the people.

In particular, the Party Committee focuses on closely following the economic development projects of the province and district, especially the marine economic development project for the period 2015 - 2020, with reasonable mechanisms and policies, encouraging fishermen to exploit and combine processing to solve product output; convert the size of ships, boats, machines, fishing gear to exploit offshore and offshore fishing grounds, combine production, protect long-term resources, and protect the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
