Dien Phuc Commune (Dien Chau) celebrates its 70th anniversary and receives the title of Advanced New Rural Commune.
On August 24, the People's Committee of Dien Phuc commune (Dien Chau) solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 70th anniversary of its establishment and receive the Certificate of recognition of the commune meeting the Advanced New Rural Standards.
Attending the ceremony were comrades: Tran Xuan Hoc - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development; Dang Quang Hong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee; Tang Van Luyen - Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Committee, and related units.
Dien Phuc is a land rich in revolutionary tradition, history and culture. After many times of separation and merger with different names, in 1954, the last year of the resistance war against French colonialism, Dien Phuc commune, Dien Chau district was separated from Tan Dien administrative unit, which was a large land. Dien Phuc commune officially appeared on the administrative map of Nghe An.
In recent years, Dien Phuc commune has been active in shifting the economic structure in the right direction, diversifying production and business sectors. Such as increasing the proportion of small-scale industry, construction, services, trade, focusing on mobilizing resources for building social welfare infrastructure, improving the material and spiritual life of the people.
In particular, with advantages in traffic and geography, the commune exploits the advantages of traffic routes to strongly develop the field of commercial services and ancillary industries.
For 248 hectares of agricultural land, the commune promotes the development of single-variety rice and high-income color field models, applies scientific advances in production and livestock breeding, and builds clean fish sauce products that meet 3-star OCOP standards.
Thanks to the continuous efforts, Dien Phuc commune has changed dramatically, the economic growth rate is increasing, the average total income in 2023 will reach 56 million VND/person/year, and in the first 6 months of 2024 it will reach 5.8 million VND/month.
During 8 years of implementing the National Target Program on Advanced New Rural Construction, Dien Phuc commune has mobilized more than 155 billion VND for the National Target Program on Advanced New Rural Construction, of which people contributed more than 4.9 billion VND and thousands of working days, donating thousands of m2Land, trees, fences; construction of welcome gates, volleyball courts in villages. Dien Phuc commune invested in building and upgrading over 20 hamlet and commune roads.
With the achievements, on January 15, 2024, the Provincial People's Committee decided to recognize the commune as meeting the Advanced New Rural standards.
Not only has it created a strong change in economic development, the local cultural and social work has also achieved many remarkable results. The education system continues to develop in terms of scale, quantity and quality.
Over 70 years of construction and development, the Dien Phuc Commune Party Committee has been constantly consolidated and developed in both quantity and quality, steadfast in political ideology, and strong in organization. For many years, the Party Committee has been classified as having excellently completed its tasks.
Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Tran Xuan Hoc - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development acknowledged the efforts of the Party Committee and people of Dien Phuc commune to achieve many achievements in the process of construction and development, reaching advanced new rural standards.
The Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development suggested that Dien Phuc commune maintain and promote the achieved results and carry out key tasks, closely following the Party's policies and resolutions to effectively deploy, mobilize the strength of the entire people, and move towards building a model new rural commune.
On this occasion, the leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, authorized by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, awarded the Certificate of Recognition of the commune meeting the Advanced New Rural Standards in 2024; and presented Certificates of Merit of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to 6 collectives and 6 individuals with outstanding achievements in the movement to build Advanced New Rural Areas in Dien Phuc commune.
