The total annual cultivated area reached 98% to 100%, the average rice yield reached from 58 to 60 quintals/ha; corn 35 - 40 quintals/ha. The total output of grain crops was 1,900 - 1,959 tons. The total forestry land area was 2,146.38 ha, annually exploiting nearly 635 ha, the income from the forest reached 30 billion VND.

Industry and handicrafts are focused on; the commune has planned a concentrated stone processing area with an area of ​​35.17 hectares. The value of industry and handicrafts in 2015 reached 62,532 million VND; the average annual growth rate was 14.8%, the proportion of industry and handicrafts increased from 33.7% in 2011 to 35.6% in 2015. Due to the focus on production development, the poverty rate decreased annually by 2 - 2.5%; per capita income in 2015 reached 20.5 million VND.

Implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction, Dong Hop commune was selected by Quy Hop district as one of the four pilot communes for the 2012-2015 period. The commune Party Committee issued a specialized resolution, launching a campaign for the entire population to join hands in building the New Rural Area. Up to now, 13/15 hamlets have built 13.045 km of concrete roads according to A and B road standards. The commune mobilized businesses to support the construction of 867m of graded roads; built office buildings... The total value of new rural construction is 16.74 billion VND, of which people contributed 11.847 billion VND, businesses supported 994 million VND, and the state budget 3.899 billion VND. Up to now, Dong Hop has achieved 16/19 New Rural Area criteria.

In the field of culture and society: the commune focuses on investing in infrastructure to improve the quality of education; all 4/4 schools have achieved advanced titles, including 2 schools with excellent advanced titles. Cultural, sports, and information and propaganda work is focused on; 70% of households have achieved the title of Cultural Family; 13/15 hamlets and 4/4 units and schools are recognized as cultural units; cultural institutions from the commune down to hamlets and villages have been gradually invested in and built, meeting the cultural and spiritual needs of the people.
