(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of August 8, the Party Committee and People's Committee of Hop Thanh Commune (Yen Thanh) solemnly held a ceremony to receive the certificate of recognition of the commune meeting the New Rural Standards. Attending the event were comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the National Target Program on New Rural Construction.

To reach the NTM finish line and have a prosperous rural infrastructure like today, Hop Thanh commune has mobilized a total investment capital of 196.21 billion VND, of which the people contributed 135.63 billion VND, accounting for 69.1%; the provincial budget 25.13 billion VND, accounting for 12.8%; the district budget 6.73 billion VND; the commune budget 11.72 billion VND...
Specifically, to release production capacity and improve people's living conditions, the commune mobilized and invested over 38.6 billion VND to implement land consolidation, land conversion and rural traffic. Thanks to the support of the people, the commune mobilized nearly 20 billion VND to consolidate land, land conversion, in which people donated 17.4 hectares of agricultural land equivalent to 17.2 billion VND so that the commune could complete the land conversion early; at the same time, the commune invested 18.6 billion VND, in which people contributed 8.4 billion VND to harden 100% of the 48.39 km of internal commune roads.
Although it is a purely agricultural commune, Hop Thanh is one of the first communes to have a kindergarten recognized as meeting national standards (2006), a primary school meeting national standards level 2 since 2007; the system of cultural institutions from commune to hamlet all meet the standards according to regulations; in 2014, the commune had 8/11 hamlets achieving the title of Cultural Village; the commune health station was recognized as meeting national standards level 1 since 2008 and reaching level 2 in 2012.

At the ceremony, Mr. Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the results that Hop Thanh has achieved in the movement to build new rural areas. In the coming time, Hop Thanh commune needs to further promote the role and responsibility of the Party Committee, village and hamlet authorities in building new rural areas. Yen Thanh district People's Committee must consider this as an advanced model to direct and launch a vibrant and widespread emulation movement throughout the district. Organize for communes in the district to visit, study, share and draw experiences in the process of directing and implementing Hop Thanh commune and typical communes meeting new rural standards in 2014 of Yen Thanh district.
On this occasion, 4 collectives and 4 individuals of Hop Thanh commune were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Provincial People's Committee. Yen Thanh District People's Committee also awarded certificates of merit to individuals and collectives of Hop Thanh commune with outstanding achievements in the movement to build new rural areas.
