The economic structure shifted in the right direction, gradually reducing the proportion of agriculture - fishery, gradually increasing the proportion of industry - construction - services. Of which, the proportion of agriculture accounted for less than 20%, with a value of 72 billion VND; industry - handicraft - construction accounted for 19.8%, with a value of 167 billion VND; services - trade accounted for 60.2%; with a value of 219 billion VND. The total production value by 2015 was estimated at 257.9 billion VND, an increase of 102.2 billion VND compared to 2010 (equal to 105% of the congress target). The average income per capita in 2014 reached 27.4 million VND/person/year, an increase of 10.6 million VND compared to 2010.

In the process of implementing the Resolution, the Party Executive Committee of the commune has developed a project and plan, promoted the transformation of crop, plant and livestock structure, increased the value of use on the area of ​​effective crops, and increased the income value of agriculture. Industrial production and small-scale industry have developed quite well with many models and businesses with large revenues: production of tunnel bricks, stones, gravel, sand, construction materials, transportation, mechanical milling, welding, electronics, garment, masonry...

The construction of technical infrastructure has developed rapidly in the past 5 years, gradually changing the face of the new countryside. The electricity system, roads, schools, stations, irrigation traffic, offices, cultural houses, and residential areas have been constantly improved, contributing to making the face of the local countryside more and more prosperous. The estimated construction value in the past 5 years has reached over 30 billion VND, of which the people contributed over 5 billion VND.

Taking advantage of the proximity to the city, the commune's trade and service industry has made significant progress in recent times. Most areas in the commune, from the market center to the hamlets, have formed trading service points for all types of businesses and services in large, small and medium forms, meeting the needs of daily life, construction and production of all classes of people.

In particular, the project to establish Nghi Van Town and upgrade Nghi Van Market approved by the Provincial People's Committee is opening up a promising direction for trade and services development in the future... Labor export is focused on and has achieved high results in income for the people. Up to now, there are about 600 people working abroad; the number of households regularly providing services in the commune is over 300, with an income of 105.7 billion VND, accounting for 52.1% of the total economic proportion of the commune, reaching 120.6% of the target set by the congress.

Culture and society have made remarkable progress. Currently, Nghi Van has 13/16 hamlets with cultural houses, 10/16 hamlets recognized as cultural villages; 1 school, 4 clans recognized as cultural units and clans; the rate of families achieving cultural standards each year is from 84 - 86%. Regarding education and training, the scale and network of schools and classes have developed according to plan; the teaching staff is increasingly standardized. Social security is given attention; poverty reduction work is well implemented, mobilizing the establishment of various funds with hundreds of millions of VND; providing emergency subsidies for the disadvantaged and disabled during Tet, natural disasters and epidemics with over 100 million VND and dozens of tons of rice. Maintaining social and bank loan policies, creating effective jobs for workers (currently, the outstanding debt of all types of loans in the commune is over 65 billion VND)...

During the past term, the Commune Party Committee has paid attention to the work of organizing and building the Party; building the full-term working program of the Executive Committee, the program of "eliminating the weak and reducing the white" for the period 2011 - 2015, through which annually building programs and plans for effective implementation. Many Party cells and organizations have overcome many "weak points and weak aspects" to maintain and rise to become strong and strong for many years; at the same time, leading the entire political system and organizations to strive to fulfill their tasks...

Entering the new term 2015 - 2020, Nghi Van Party Committee strives to make the commune become a fairly good commune of the district. Improve the leadership capacity of the Party organization, the direction of the government, the coordination of the Front and organizations, promote high solidarity and unity within the Party and the people to accelerate economic development, strengthen the construction of technical infrastructure, shift the economic structure towards industry, agriculture and commerce. Improve the quality of education, health care, cultural and social life; improve all aspects of life for the people; ensure political stability, social order and safety; complete the new rural construction program in 2018; bring the commune to comprehensive and sustainable development; strive to continue to achieve the title of a strong Party organization in 5 years.
