Quynh Trang Commune (Hoang Mai Town) meets national criteria on healthcare
(Baonghean.vn) - On November 24, Nghe An Province Department of Health organized a delegation to assess communes that met the National criteria for health in 2014 in Hoang Mai town.
The delegation conducted an assessment and inspection of 10 national criteria on commune health in the coastal area of Quynh Lap. In the past time, Quynh Lap commune has made many efforts in investing in building facilities and equipment for grassroots health stations, kindergarten kitchen systems, and mobilizing people to build standard toilets. However, due to the specific conditions of the coastal area, people mainly live by fishing, so the implementation of some local criteria is still limited, such as environmental sanitation criteria, high third child birth rate, and low rate of people participating in health insurance. As a result, based on the assessment of the criteria, the delegation concluded that Quynh Lap commune has not met the national criteria on health. Thereby, it also reminded and noted that the locality and units including health stations and schools continue to improve the criteria, striving to meet the standards as soon as possible.

Overview of the working session |
In the afternoon of the same day, the delegation had a meeting to assess the criteria set in the mountainous commune of Quynh Trang. Although it is a mountainous commune facing many difficulties, in recent times, the local government and the health sector have made constant efforts to invest in building spacious and clean facilities, ensuring good primary health care for the people. At the same time, they have done a good job in preventive medicine, environmental sanitation, and disease prevention; and the medical staff is ensured according to the scale and regulations.
As a result, the provincial appraisal team scored Quynh Trang commune 91/100 points, meeting the national criteria for health care in the 2014-2020 period. This is the driving force for the commune to further accelerate the progress of new rural construction, soon complete the set of 19 criteria prescribed by the country and increasingly take better care of people's health./.
