Upon receiving the news, Sergeant Chu Tu Hoang, Squad Leader, Squad 7, Platoon 2, Company 6, Battalion 27, Engineer Brigade 414, along with officers and soldiers of the unit, promptly arrived at the scene to put out the fire and save the forest.

Despite the strong wind and the fierce fire, the unit assigned him to command a squad to put out the fire. He did not mind the difficulties and dangers, especially when he arrived. He and his teammates rushed into the "sea of ​​fire", regardless of the dangers, high hills, steep cliffs, suffocating air and dust. Some of them held iron rods, some held knives, some held rakes... and rushed in to fight for each pine tree in the face of the fierce fire.

After more than 2 hours of struggling with the fierce fire, the fire had now approached the firebreak area. This was the time that required a high concentration of strength to extinguish the fire, otherwise the fire would cross the firebreak and continue to the adjacent area. Although he was exhausted, he determined that "A forest fire is like a house fire" and if not extinguished in time, it would threaten hundreds of houses living nearby and hundreds of hectares of remaining pine forest. Without hesitation, after the unit commander's shout of "charge", he directly rushed into the central area of ​​the fire, extinguishing the fire while observing the wind direction to order his teammates to avoid being hit by smoke and fire. When the fire was gradually being controlled, suddenly a strong wind suddenly changed direction, carrying a thick layer of smoke and dust covering the direction where Sergeant Chu Tu Hoang was extinguishing the fire. Too surprised by the above situation because he went deep into the fire area, he was hit in the face by the fire, suffocated by smoke and fell against the cliff, breaking his right arm and suffering multiple facial injuries. He was given first aid by his teammates and doctors at Nam Dan District Medical Center and then transferred to Military Hospital 4 for monitoring and treatment.

Sergeant Chu Tu Hoang was born on September 25, 1993, in Dien Truong, Dien Chau. He enlisted and worked at the 414th Engineer Brigade from 2012 to present. When asked about Sergeant Chu Tu Hoang, Major Tran Hong Ha, Battalion Commander of Battalion 27 proudly said: Comrade Hoang is a very exemplary squad leader in his work. Whenever natural disasters, storms, floods, fires, bombs, mines are discovered in the area, he always volunteers to carry out missions in the most dangerous places to save people and property.
