(Baonghean.vn) -Visiting Thanh Son commune this time, wherever you go, you hear village management officials and people complaining that most of the civil works built by the project in 16 villages of Thanh Son commune have been degraded...

Kim Thanh village has 54 households and 206 people, of which 26 households received houses built from the project and most of the houses have been degraded, especially in the parts using wooden materials such as rafters, batten, beams, doors of all kinds...

Part of the roof of Lo Thi Loi's house was damaged.

Looking at the house of Ms. Lo Thi Loi's family, the wooden rafters were quite damaged by termites. Because they could not bear the weight of the tiles, some parts of the roof had collapsed, creating quite large gaps. Ms. Loi complained: "Every time it rains, water just floods into the house...".

Mr. Vi Van Tuyen's family's house is in the same condition as Ms. Lo Thi Loi's family's house. Not only that, Mr. Tuyen said that the water from the well built by the Management Board of Hydropower Project 2 has a very unpleasant smell, but his family still has to use it.

Part of the roof at Kim Thanh kindergarten collapsed because the rafters and purlins were damaged by termites.

According to Mr. Vi Van Phe - Head of Kim Thanh village, not only the houses but also the kindergarten and cultural house of the village are seriously degraded. Especially the kindergarten cannot be used due to fear of danger to the lives of the children. Indeed, most of the wooden parts of the kindergarten and cultural house of Kim Thanh village have been infested with termites. And because many of the rafters and purlins are hollow and rotten, many places have fallen tiles with holes...

Together with Mr. Luong Thai Tam - Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Son commune, we visited the house of Mr. Moong Duc Thang in Thanh Hoa village. Mr. Thang's house was also damaged in the wooden part. To prevent the tile roof from collapsing, Mr. Thang had to use many wooden bars and meter-long bamboo tubes to support it. According to the village chief Vi Van Dan, Thanh Hoa village has 84 households with 385 people, of which 46 households use houses built by the project and all of them are degraded.

Moong Duc Thang's family had to use bamboo to support the tiled roof.

Recently, two houses of Mr. Tang Van Xoai and Mr. Quang Van Di collapsed, requiring repairs costing tens of millions of dong. Not only that, some sections of the village roads are unfinished, causing difficulties for people to travel, and most of the self-flowing water works in the village have been damaged due to lack of water source...

The gravity-fed water tanks in Thanh Hoa village were damaged due to lack of water supply.

Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Son Commune, Luong Thai Tam, said that most of the civil works built by the project in 16 villages of Thanh Son Commune have been degraded. "At the meeting with voters before the 7th session of the 18th District People's Council, with the participation of Mr. Le Minh Son - Head of the Legal Committee of the District People's Council, Thanh Son Commune voters requested the Management Board of Hydropower Project 2 to promptly consider repairing civil works because many houses, cultural houses and schools were seriously damaged..." - Mr. Tam said.
