Officially determined the date and time for the Vietnam team to compete with the team that reached the World Cup semi-finals
To prepare for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, the Vietnamese team has been having practice matches with strong opponents. We have determined the specific time of the match with the Korean team on FIFA Days in October 2023.
In October 2023, the Vietnamese football team is expected to have three very important friendly matches to prepare for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
The most notable of which is the match against Juergen Klinsmann's Korean team on October 17, 2023. This match takes place at 6:00 p.m. (Vietnam time) on October 17, 2023, at Suwon World Cup Stadium, Suwon, Korea.
South Korea has always been among the top teams in Asia, a familiar face representing Asia in recent World Cup finals. They reached the semi-finals of the 2022 World Cup when they co-hosted the tournament.
The Korean team has many stars currently playing for famous clubs in Europe, including striker Heung Min Son who is playing for Tottenham in the Premier League and center back Kim Min Jae who just joined Bayern Munich.
After the 2022 World Cup, the Korean team has a new coach, former German striker Juergen Klinsmann. In the last 3 friendly matches, Klinsmann's Korea were unbeaten, in which they drew 1-1 with El Salvador, drew 0-0 with Wales and beat Saudi Arabia 1-0.
