These are 3 bodies and body parts found by rescue ships around the sea area where the NA 95899 TS ship sank and was brought to Cua Lo port on July 18 and July 21.
Relatives of fishermen who have not been found have had their DNA samples taken. In case more bodies suspected to be fishermen are found, they will be tested and their identities will be determined.
Thus, up to now, after nearly 1 month of the incident of fishing boat NA 95899 TS sinking in the waters of Bach Long Vy island, the authorities have found and identified the 4 deceased fishermen. Currently, 6 fishermen are still missing: Bui Ngoc Son, Truong Dac Quy, Ho Ba Hoang, Bui Ngoc Chung, Nguyen Van Manh, Nguyen Ngoc Tan.
On July 24, the rescue ships were withdrawn to the mainland due to the unsuccessful search and salvage of the sunken ship. The NA 95899 TS ship, weighing about 200 tons, sank in the sea at a depth of more than 65 meters and was surrounded by nets, making the salvage operation difficult.

The search for missing crew members had to switch to another plan. |
According to the search team's assessment, the sinking of fishing boat NA 95899 TS happened nearly a month ago, so the fishermen's chances of survival are almost gone.
Currently, the authorities are proposing 3 options, including: Issuing a maritime notice to all vehicles passing through the area of the shipwreck to immediately notify the Search and Rescue Center if they detect a strange object.
Second, Vietnamese authorities will exchange and seek advice from countries and international organizations on the best search experience. The third solution is to hire a dredging team to search the entire area around the sunken fishing boat.
Previously, on July 19, a team of dredgers was hired to search, and at 11:30 on July 21, they discovered part of the body at sea. On July 23, the dredgers once again scanned the search area but found no results. By 5:00 p.m. the same day, they had withdrawn from the scene. Therefore, Vietnamese authorities are implementing plans 1 and 2 to have a basis for calculating the next plans.
Regarding the remote-controlled emergency intervention device Irov-VN08 sent by the Ministry of National Defense, Mr. Nguyen Van Thach - Director of the Traffic Safety Department (Ministry of Transport) said that the search support device had completed its survey diving mission and determined the location of the sunken fishing boat, but because fishing nets were covering the hull of the boat, it could not reach deep inside the boat.
As reported by Nghe An Newspaper, at around 1:00 p.m. on June 28, the Pacific 01 ship collided with the fishing boat NA 95899 TS (with 19 crew members on board) at coordinates 19032.334N; 107042.263E, 14.5 nautical miles from the demarcation line of the Gulf of Tonkin on the Chinese side and about 34 nautical miles south of Bach Long Vi Island.
Immediately after the accident, the search and rescue forces promptly deployed to carry out search and rescue. 9 crew members on the fishing boat were rescued, 10 crew members were missing and died.
