Building Anh Son into a dynamic economic zone

Comrade Nguyen Huu Sang:In 2017, with the efforts of the entire political system, Anh Son district achieved some remarkable results:
Regarding economy: Growth rate reached 10.13%; average income reached 25.5 million VND/person/year; total mobilized social investment capital reached 943.4 billion VND; economic structure shifted in a positive direction compared to 2016: Industry - Construction increased by 2.95%, services increased by 0.32%, agriculture decreased by 3.28%.

Investment promotion activities have achieved many positive results, promising to create a premise for development in the following years, with a total registered investment capital of more than 2,430 billion VND. Among them, many projects with large investment capital have been approved by the Provincial People's Committee such as: MDF wood fiberboard production project in Tri Le Industrial Park; Trade and general service center project in Anh Son town; Kim Nhan PLAZA conference, sports and tourism center project in the town; High-tech livestock science research center investment project in Hung Son commune of MAVIN AustFeed Group Joint Stock Company... In addition, many investors have surveyed and are studying investment proposals.
Infrastructure investment continues to achieve many positive results. The District People's Committee has also issued 19 investment policies with a total investment of 141,050 million VND, mainly from the budget support source from higher levels. In addition, there are a number of projects invested by the Electricity sector in the area; the project to build Khai Son Primary School with a total investment of 11,574 million VND, of which the Military Telecommunications Group supports 7 billion VND; the project to solidify schools in ethnic minority areas, remote areas with a total investment of 23,750 million VND invested by the Department of Education and Training, etc.

The district has well organized activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day with a series of events that left a deep impression on the people and tourists. Cultural activities, sports and folk games took place enthusiastically. The commune-level Sports Festival and the district-level Sports Festival were successfully organized. The quality of the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" was given attention, contributing to improving the spiritual life of the people. Education and training continued to be taken care of and achieved many high achievements. In the 2016-2017 school year, the provincial excellent student competition ranked 2nd in the province. During the year, 3 more schools were recognized as meeting national standards, bringing the total number of schools meeting standards to 43 (65.15%).

Social security and health care for the people have been well implemented; policies for people with meritorious services and social protection have been paid promptly. New jobs have been created for 2,700 people, reaching 114.89% of the plan. The poverty rate has decreased to 7.23%, down 3.46% compared to 2016. The rate of people participating in health insurance has reached 83%. The district medical center has well applied science and technology to medical examination and treatment, proactively developing difficult techniques with high requirements such as: Endoscopic thyroid surgery, endoscopic surgery, retrograde laser ureteral lithotripsy, etc.
Security work is maintained, ensuring absolute safety of key targets, political, cultural, social activities, and major festivals. |

PV:It can be affirmed that 2017 is the year that Anh Son district achieved many results exceeding targets in many fields. However, there are still limitations and shortcomings that need to be learned from?
Comrade Nguyen Huu Sang:Despite achieving positive results, the district still recognizes that there are still limitations that need to be learned from. For example, in the direction and management, the role, responsibility, and initiative of some departments, offices, and units under the District People's Committee and the People's Committees of communes and towns have not been fully promoted.The work of government building and administrative reform has changed but has not yet met requirements. The compliance with discipline and administrative discipline of a number of cadres, civil servants and public employees is not adequate. The operation of the grassroots apparatus in some localities is still limited. The inspection, supervision, detection and handling of violations in some agencies and units is not timely and regular.
The application of IT in management and operation consulting of some civil servants, public employees, and employees from district to commune and town is still limited. The dissemination and education of law is not very effective, the focus content and suitable locations have not been selected...
PV:2018 is a pivotal year for Anh Son to make breakthroughs in socio-economic development, soon becoming a dynamic economic region of the province. So what are the specific tasks of the district in 2018, sir?
Comrade Nguyen Huu Sang:The district identified 2018 as an extremely important year, deciding the completion of the goals set by the 20th District Party Congress for the 2015-2020 term. In 2018, the district continued to promote the achieved results, overcome existing limitations, continue to review, develop plans and solutions to implement each goal and task associated with each individual consultant, director and implementation roadmap with a spirit of drastic and specific direction.
Support and accompany investors to implement approved investment projects, while continuing to promote attracting investors to the area.
Promote administrative reform, closely follow the grassroots and work to grasp the situation, inspect and urge implementation. Strengthen administrative discipline; implement the principle of publicity and transparency in the activities of state management agencies.
Implement grassroots democracy and government mass mobilization well to create consensus among the people and the entire political system. Do a good job of propaganda, dissemination and education of law, inspection, public reception, handling of petitions, complaints and denunciations, anti-corruption, practice thrift and combat waste. Maintain the spirit of solidarity, promote collective strength and enhance the role and responsibility of each individual in performing tasks.
