Building mechanisms and policies to solve employment problems for ethnic minority students after graduation is one of the contents of the Action Program to implement the Ethnic Work Strategy until 2020, which has just been approved by the Prime Minister.

Also according to this action program, the network of schools and training facilities in ethnic minority and mountainous areas will be reviewed, supplemented, adjusted and strengthened to focus on training ethnic minority children. Expand the teaching and learning of ethnic minority languages; increase the quantity and quality of ethnic minority teachers.

Supplement and improve support policies for students from ethnic minorities and particularly disadvantaged areas.

Strengthen and expand the scale of the ethnic boarding school system, ensuring living conditions for semi-boarding students; establish an Ethnic Academy to train intellectuals, create a source of cadres and develop human resources in ethnic minority areas.

Improve the quality of vocational school system, revise and supplement training, fostering and vocational training policies suitable to capacity.

Conduct training and fostering of ethnic minority youths currently serving in the army to create a source of cadres when they return to their localities after being discharged from the army.

Strengthening education, dissemination and propaganda of laws in ethnic minority areas. Focusing on building, training, nurturing and using a team of judicial staff and lawyers who are ethnic minorities.

Encourage, mobilize and take advantage of legal capital sources at home and abroad to increase investment resources for education and training in ethnic minority areas.

Implement planning, training, streaming, and career guidance for ethnic minority students after graduating from secondary school and other levels of education to create a source of cadres associated with local needs, with special attention to key cadre positions in the grassroots political system in areas with a large ethnic minority population.

The action program also clearly states: Adjust and specify enrollment targets for ethnic minorities in universities, colleges, vocational high schools and vocational schools in the Northern mountainous region, Central Highlands and Southwest to create a source of staff and develop ethnic minority human resources.
