Construction of Package 2 of the Floodplain Project in Nghe An Province
(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of April 8, 2015, at Khanh Son commune, Nam Dan district People's Committee held the groundbreaking ceremony for package No. 2A: Construction of grade IV roads and 15 rescue houses under the project to restore flooded areas in Nghe An province.

The project "Construction of infrastructure for flood-prone and inundated communes in Nam Nam district, Nam Dan district" was approved by the People's Committee of Nghe An province in Decision No. 3075 dated August 8, 2011, now renamed the Project "Restoration of flood-prone areas of Nghe An province" in Decision No. 1350/QD-UBND dated April 16, 2014. The project has a total investment of 672 billion VND, with a scale of 2 components: Part 1: Construction of a rescue road system in the flood-prone area with level IV plain traffic routes, with a total length of 57.75km; Part 2: Construction of a system of 17 rescue houses (combined with headquarters, cultural houses, schools) for 5 flood-prone communes: Khanh Son, Nam Phuc, Nam Trung, Nam Cuong and Nam Kim.
Phase 1 was started in March 2012, basically completing 40% of the construction volume of level IV delta traffic routes and building shelters and offices of the People's Committees of Nam Kim and Nam Phuc communes, using state budget capital. The construction of phase 2 is expected to be started within 20 months, aiming to continue the construction of level IV routes (route 1, 2, 22) and 15 multi-storey buildings including the Party Committee Headquarters - People's Committee of Khanh Son and Nam Cuong communes, 3 communal cultural houses, 10 high-rise buildings with 80 classrooms, with a total construction cost of 339 billion VND, of which the loan capital from the Saudi Arabian Development Fund is 308 billion VND. The project is undertaken by the Joint Venture of Tan Hung Company Limited and Tan Nam Construction Joint Stock Company, with Nam Dan District People's Committee as the investor.
